The Tobermory peninsula, which divides Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, has amazing limestone cliffs and clear deep water on the east side. If you access the Georgian Bay side from the National Park, you will find yourself along amazing shores with little to no foot traffic.
If you reach the water and head east from the grotto for a few kilometers, you will come across endless 'best swimming spots'. The featured tree in this painting is my favourite. The majority of the tree is the huge spread at the bottom.
This original watercolour is painted with Winsor Newton archival watercolour paints on Fabriano 300 lb watercolour paper. The image size is 28x20, and framed, it would be approximately 37.5 x 28.5. Thank you for supporting AOA.
We all need more support, and we also need more beautiful places like the shores of Tobermory. Go have a look.
